Texas vs Florida: which is GOAT state to live in?
I’d note Florida now has buc-ees
Texas probably has better variety landscape wise but if you have to drive 8 hours to get there it doesn’t count
Texas probably has a better job market
Texas beaches/lakes are poverty compared to FL though and Houston is built in a flood zone
Texas illegals from Mexico… Florida non illegals from everywhere
Chitlib areas Austin vs Miami

Since I’m from CA I think I would find FL the same weather wise except more humid and rain
But then again I don’t mind the heat do I’d like AZ and NV as well
And the snowstorm last year made me not want to go live in Texas
FL wins

As a northern coldcel, I've always liked the general appeal of Texas. The housing market seems great as well. Large properties for dirt cheap. The people seem nice and friendly. Honestly, it seems like the QC of the USA.
would rather be a cowboycel than a moistcel in humid bunghole Florida though. I think. Hard to tell, never been to either place.

Live in TX, vacation in FL. If you live in FL and earn a middle-class paycheck, you're going to spend your whole income on a home overbuilt to survive hurricanes and the insurance that goes along with it.
