Misc Help Me Understand Bipolar Disorder
I'm mainly interested in knowing about the manic phase. From what I've read it seems almost like an artificial high where their behavior borders on arrogance and being able to do and treat people however they want without any repercussions.
Long story short I met a guy about 10 years ago who I'm almost 100% sure has bipolar. He dropped subtle hints over the years about having some type of mental issues but never gave specifics.
Some of the things I noticed:
-was always very guarded/secretive regarding details about his personal life
-made decent money but was in debt up to his eyeballs
-possible gambling and drinking problems
-seemed to come up with grandiose ideas/plans
-became easily and disproportionately agitated, especially if he didn't get what he wanted from you
-seemed to view people only for what he could get from them, used people and seem to think it was his right to do so
Does this sound typical for people with bipolar? They must know people will find this behavior extremely abrasive but they can't stop themselves?

That dude is just a narcissist or sociopath. Iโve never met any bipolar people that I know of. They usually just take lithium and are fine after they get diagnosed.

Sounds like a socio/psychopath. Bipolar people do **** like shave their head, get married, tatoos, leave their families, etc.. Just huge, impulsive life decisions out of nowhere.
I'm back, bitches!
