just got an email from HR about vaccine policy, wut do misc?



Seems like where I work won't have a mandatory vaccine policy. participation in the survey is voluntary. but I feel like my province will very soon require vaccines for all places of employment so I'm not sure how this is going to work. i can work from home with my job as I have been, but work wants us to come in 3x a week, so maybe I'll have to provide a proof of a test, which indirectly reveals to people my status?

am a bit skeptical of this email when it says data is collected is for informational purposes and will be kept confidential.

i opened up the survey and it wanted my first/last name. also there was a disclaimer at the bottom which said by providing info I would consent to my info being used for these purposes:

- take reasonable precautions for health and safety
- make decisions about workplace staffing/modifications
- provide limited disclosure to clients
- administering vaccination policy, including to determine eligibility for incentives, entitlements and rewards
- personal info kept in a seperate file, accessed on a need-to-know basis

i feel like what the email is telling me is very different to what I am consenting to when taking the survey. the arbitrary wording has me like nope, not taking the survey.

None of their business what your medical history is. Time to start finding out which coworkers aren't vaccinated and make sure yall stick together. Everywhere is desperate for workers, they won't fire you for not being vaxxxed even if they threaten to. Way too many people are standing up to their job's bs and turning it around for a win.

It's just the first step. Same steps my employer took.

My employer is at 85% vaccination rate and they still decided to mandate it. They won't tell you what their vaccination rate goal is. They'll just say it isn't high enough. They'll say your safety is the ultimate goal, but don't care about your health, in general.

It's the same as the local government and medical professionals not outlining a plan to stop mandates and lockdowns when goals are met. Because there were no goals set. Once they have these powers, they will not willingly give them up.

They just say the transmission is too high or the death rates are too high. Even when the rates dropped, most mandates didn't drop off. Meanwhile death rates from suicide, obesity, heart disease, drug overdoses, and cancer are not taken into account. These deaths, especially suicide since the pandemic started, have been at a steady clip with no direction or guidance regarding health in general. It's because it's about control.

your company is half way decent to have not demanded you get it already because cuck canada would surely back their right to do that and they havent.


I would not reply to the email. But eventually they will get you with one coercion or mandate policy or another.

just say your unsure about gettjng it. at least you wont be in the immediately terminated bucket.

they probably want to see how many are currently vaxxed and if they can mandate it without losing 40-50% of their workforce.

My first reaction is to agree and opt out of responding.

But more than likely, the only people responding will be those who are vaccinated. And the company may be using this to gauge how much pushback to mandates they'll receive. If 100% of their results indicate people are vaccinated, they'll probably be more likely to push for a mandatory policy.

So you may be just reinforcing the result that you don't want by opting out. I imagine a lot of employers think their employees want this because no one wants to speak up in opposition to it.

I get what you're saying. Maybe it's naive considering the circumstances but I feel like a company could say "most of our employees are vaccinated anyways so there is no need for a mandate" to avoid trouble. We actually have laws/regulations that make the whole medical privacy thing complicated so they'd rather not deal with it. They would also know how many people responded to it. What they do and assume with the people who didn't respond, I'm not sure. Maybe they just assume those people are unvaccinated?

From what I know and my gut feeling, I think my company will not enforce a direct vaccination policy, unless my province where I reside in mandates it (which is definitely very possible). It would likely override whatever we have on the books in regards to medical policy using cherry picked and arbitrary exercepts. I think at that point all bets are off the table so I'm not really too hopeful of anything. In fact I expect it.

I think I'm just going to Hilary my email and pretend I never saw it.

If I were you I just wouldn't answer. Opt out of it entirely.

Unfortunately, anonymity isn't allowed when it comes to the COVID vaccine. They expect you to share your vaccine status with the world constantly, like how people with funky genders constantly share their pronouns. The fact you opt out will be a red flag, just like saying you are against it and won't get it would be a red flag.

Don’t give them any info. I’m one of two people at work that are not vaxxed. Just opt out and say you don’t feel comfortable with it. Use a “my body my choice” sort of reason. It may sound lame but it works in corporate America, thanks feminist!

Two people last week that were vaxxed with Pfizer got covid and my work was freaking out. They wanted to mandate it but I said I was going to put my 30 days in and I’m in a lead roll at work and get perfect reviews every year. They now said that if the state doesn’t mandate it they will put me in a grandfather clause and all future employees will need to be vaxxed. I work for a small company of about 30-40 employees.

So if you don’t suck at your job, hold your ground.
