Can anyone explain to me why the keypad on the keyboard is on the right side?

The same side the mouse is on

Why the Fuk do we have the keypad on the right side.

It would make so much more sense to have it on the left so that the alphabetical keys could actually be centered in front of you

As it stands we have the keypad in the way of the mouse so your right hand is way off center

Did you know that the railroad tracks have the with they do because this was the same width as the Roman Chariots? Despite the fact that wider tracks would make the railroads much more profitable?

it is like these same stupid ideas just get propagated over time. We get stuck in a rut and it is too much work to change.

Left hand mouse master race, lol @ using a mouse in your right hand. I can access the number pad and mouse at the same time.

makes sense to have 1 thing on each side of the keyboard such that the keys can actually be centered in front of you.

otherwise the keys have to be way off to the left to fit the keypad and mouse BOTH on the right

we type almost 50% of the characters with our left hand as well

why not type on the numpad with our left hand also?

so just buy a tkl keyboard + a separate numpad. problem solved?

for example:

why is the number layout for my keyboard numpad

different than my cellphone numpad

(i.e. the 123 is on the top on my cellphone, but at the bottom on the keyboard)
