Arthroscopic hip surgery.

Any brahs had this done? If so how was it? Im ****ting bricks as ive never had any surgery before, need both hips done.
Both labrums tore and the hip needs some bone shaved off.
Will I still be able to do chin ups after surgery lol gonna need something to do in the recovery period.

Known a few with hip replacements but no one who had just clean up surgery.

This from osteoarthritis?

Nah just a few years of pain and weird noises in my hips. Really limits what i can do. Like i cant really go on jogs or cycle, for cardio i swim and box.
Apparently its pretty common, sucks but it is what is is.

my dad had a hip replaced maybe 6 or 7 years ago


major surgery of course but they will have you up a few hours after surgery bearing weight on it to help avoid complications

How old are you? Indications for hip scope are really limited. If you’re a young, healthy, active patient, there are some indications, but they are shrinking quick.

31. What do you mean by indications? Ive have all the imaging done and consult with the surgeon, basically told me i need it if i want to resolve the pain.
Im very active and work a physically demanding job.

Ok looked up indications lol. I have FAI with torn labrums, the doc seems pretty confident about the procedure but wont know the full extent until he gets in there with the scope. Im more scared of anaesthesia, like absolutely terrified.
Dunno why, they’re gonna have to pump me with some benzos for sure
