Is there a difference between
all the "rate my meal" threads and the ****gy instagram posts where people post pics of their food? I mean chit on this current generation all you want but I see no difference in behavior on that one.

I don’t know a lot of times rate-my-meal threads turn out pretty funny, especially when someone posts a struggle meal or some highfalutin overpriced crap

You'll tend to get a more honest response here, if it looks like dogchit or improperly prepared misc chefs will point out the flaws
There's also the fact that since this is a pretty small community at this point it's "show the boys" rather than show the world, which is more about shooting the chit rather than actual meal rating much of the time

A lot o posters here don't have many friends if any in real life (I'm one of them). So some socializing and interaction here keeps them a bit sane.
