Are relationships with asian parents usually superficial?

I ask because asians seem to be the least emotionally developed races along with maybe some scandinavian countries like Finland

Do asian kids have meaningful open relationships with their parents where they can discuss things beyond just school/career/financial type subjects?

Yes to topic. Asian exGF was going to give her mom a 3k purse for a birthday. Her moms works retail and lives in an apartment. Strong priorities.
