What happened to Venues/Places??

IN SHORT: Venues got crazily bland after/around 2013. Go back to pre 2013 when the world was more like a fun carnival and not a supersized post office.

I'm not too bothered about this one since I've grown up, but still, it's pretty horrendous to see.

As a youngster, I was out and about a TON. Whether that be with friends/family or just heading out to try some random activities. We would go to Cinemas, Play Zones, Gigantic Parks, Mcdonalds, Lazer Zones, Arcades, Bowling, etc and it was all amazing. Loved every second of it as there wasn't a smartphone as my life GPS.

Venues post 2013 just aren't as nice/appealing. E.g, Mcdonalds had clowns, silly coloured building/seats, colouring pads, ball pits, balloons, and the general scene was just fun/filled with laughter. Now, there's none of the stuff I mentioned and it just looks far too serious/commercialized?? 0 energy. Bland colours, boring as heck and 10 year olds staring into a 30 inch tv. Honestly, it's sad.

All the other venues are either dead or really boring looking plus the staff are like zombies. Cinema interior lobbys pre 2013 had colourful carpets, colourful food packaging, neatly designed film ads on walls etc. Now it's just neon lights and money grabbing as oppose to it being raw fun/interesting.
I saw it online, where the Nickolodeon Headquarters looked like a funfair rainbow explosion and now it literally looks like a boring post office. Like, why?

I swear the world grew up with kids born in the 90's, so when they turned into adults at around 2013(ish), the world also did. "Childish" venues disappeared and apparently everyone gained a voice, just like an adult (different story altogether).

It's weird, as current culture for the business world is to be as financially appealing as possible (as always). No problem there, but at a cost of making the places look boring as ****? Like, are they catering to boring grandpas or something?

As an adult, it's confusing. Pre 2013 buildings were extremely colourful/fun and somehow didn't come across as ridiculously gay/unmasculine. It was more like "yeah cool idea, whatever". Now it's just unnecessarily serious and plain unappealing, I mean, my house isn't a rainbow, but a happy medium is fine.

But yeah, old venue ideas destroy the current corporate bland boring garbage.

Example pictures of the business people making venues borings.

Yeahh!! That took actual effort and wasn't even overlooked. Stuff like monster jam was pretty similar aswell. I even have shirts with these epic designs.

Why do u think places became as interesting as a cardboard box? Like, it's pretty confusing.
