20 Years Since 9/11

I was watching some 9/11 documentaries on Netflix and prime. How time has flown since that happened. Some thoughts:

- 20 years after the Americans invaded Afghanistan, the Taliban are back in control.
- America at the time of 9/11 was the undisputed world super power; it seems like this has now changed and we no longer have a world no.1.
- It feels like there has been massive cultural change, with the rise of wokism / LGBT / incelism / CRT and all these wild ideas (which almost completely come from the US).

Maybe the Al Queda managed to accomplish something more deep seated than just murder and destruction of buildings, but a crushing defeat that penetrated the American psyche.

It's so unfortunate to see people that still believe 19 cave dwellers accomplished that.

How many coincidences in a row that day until it's not a coincidence anymore?

Do some independent research on that event before you give the glory of societal change to a couple sand farmers.

Well the Vietnam war caused a social and cultural change in America, why couldn't 9/11 followed by two big wars not also have an impact.

Honestly feels like I am watching you guys fall apart.

wokis, lgbt, incelism, crt are just part and parcel of a hyperconsumerist capitalist society. So that's not a surprise is just the natural order of things in such system. The oligarchs want to plebs to be isolated, alienated, afraid and resentful of each other so they're too busy pointint fingers at each other instead of making a collective stand about the shared boot on their necks.

It's working perfectly too. Rightwingers hate left wingers, women hate men, incels hate women, rightwingers hate the gays and the blacks, blm hates whites, etc, etc etc. They're too busy hating their fellow plebeyan instead of looking up to see who really is oppressing them all.

sad

Perceptive observations OP.

I wonder if historians will look back to September 11, 2001 as our generation's Suez Crisis. A single event that perfectly encapsulates and catalyzes a massive global sea change in the geopolitical world order.

It's certainly starting to seem that way to me.

I remember walking past the administrative office in my elementary school and everyone was watching the planes hit the towers on the tube. My older brother got let out of school, and picked me up early, and as we walked home, the ash from the towers started to infiltrate the air. The feeling of suspense is something I won't ever forget. Was literally in the Marriott that sat between the towers only two weeks earlier walking out a girl on stage in a beauty pageant.

You would have never made this thread if Trump was still president. Most peaceful president ever, yet no one would **** with us.

Just goes to show how weak Biden makes us look.

the oligarchs, big capital and capitalism in general. If we're talking about actual entities it's the 0.01% (the oligarch class) and megacorps since they're quasi-entities at this point.

No one's fleeing free countries to get to a communist state.

Millions have literally fled for their lives under threat of death (and often times actual death) to get from communist states to free ones.
