What To Do In Montreal? (Srs)

Going there in a few days and never been.

goin with gf and we dont drink or anything so probably more interested in restaurants, sights, activities.
We already know of some hotels.

People always say its a good place to go and better than Toronto so wondering now.

Also wondering how the vaccine passport thing works.. you need 2 doses and proof to go into restaurants? 1 doesnt count?

If you want a cool urban hike, try Mont Royal Chalet.
Beautiful park at the bottom, and amazing view of the city up top

At the bottom, there are very nice streets around, lot of restaurants, small shops, etc.

Montreal is great for its biking lanes too; pick up a bixi and explore the city.
Old port is great, accessible by Metro, and again lot of nice views.

This is a pretty good answer. I'd say Mont Royal is pretty much mandatory though. It's a big park up top that has a bunch of stuff (landmarks, ice skating (not sure if only in the winter), some lodges) if you want to see more, but I think you can at least drive up to see the whole city from the lookout if you're really down on walking much. It's a really good view.

There are also some cool historical spots around the city - old churches, museums, etc.

And even though you don't drink, there are some bars that are neat regardless. A retro barcade and a bar with a bowl for skateboarding come to mind.

that's not true, the province won't be asking everyone to get tested every now and then, those tests aren't free

Looked up mount royal, something like that seems perfect. close to hotel apparently as well.
Anything close to water would be cool too. We walk around a lot in Toronto but its getting boring here so want to see new stuff.

Wat? Are you immune to Covid if you are vaccinated? This makes more sense than the passport. Would be recent proof that you’re not positive or an asymptomatic carrier.
