This is why they’re pushing the vax so ****ing hard. They know it’s bs and don’t want a an unvaxxxed control group to expose them. They want everyone onboard before they start demanding endless boosters as a subscription plan for your immune system to work. Need everyone onboard and bought into the system before they move forward. Also prob want people to buy in before seeing any negative long term effects from vaxxxed people.

Yep, and if that's the case then it should still be up to the individual to decide, but...nope let's start mandating it - even though it's shown to be quite ineffective against Delta, which is a huge part of the reason (the main excuse he's using) dumbass Biden started the mandates.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around it tbh

You were supposed to get the vaccine to create herd immunity. But you can still carry and spread the virus.

It was supposed to stop you from getting the virus. But you can still get the virus.

So far it sounds like you don't get it to protect others but you get the vaccine to protect yourself so it's not as bad. So idk why everyone is pushing it so hard.

Kinda like they thought it worked but it didn't. so now they're trying to save face and all the parrots are still chirping the old message.

^^ Are they saying the one dose vaccines (like J&J) are 80% effective, or that if you only got the first dose of a two dose vaccine (like Moderna and Pfizer) you would still have 80% effectiveness.

If its the second... I am actually kind of surprised that the first dose is so effective. The second shot doesn't seem to do a whole lot in that case though.

Now that thats proven to not be the case, the argument is that (unless you die) whatever degree of severity your symptoms were if you did get COVID after being vaxed, they would have been worse had you not gotten the vaccine.

So the vaccine has gone from the disproven "you can't get COVID" to the impossible to disprove "oh... well you would have had worse symptoms if you didn't get the vax". Even though last year they were saying 50% of people with COVID, were completely asymptomatic... before anyone ever had the vaccine. Now if you're asymptomatic its because you're vaxed though.

The way I see things is that the vaccines were really effective against the alpha variant in trials, and due to this, were rushed to emergency approval. Because they hadn't had time to test with different variations of the disease, as soon as they realized it wasn't as effective against delta (etc), they shift the narrative that the vaccines help against the worst symptoms/death.
