Any of you brahs living in van or truck?

Just sold my house have 200k in bank but am living in my truck right now.

Any advice?

First night parked at a hotel parking lot. Seems quiet just hit the gym now gonna crash.

The lack of space for my stuff is annoying already.

Thinking about buying a travel trailer so can chill inside.

I have searched for "Animation Studio RV" and even adjacent stuff like "Music Studio RV" but not seeing anything quite to the scope I want. It's always a pretty tiny screen in those videos. Since I do video and photo editing, I wanna get an 49" ultrawide in one of those RVs or maybe a truck + tow. But not seeing any examples on YouTube going all-out with the studio aspect.

I like indoor plumbing too much to give it up like that. And most of the friendly 24 hour places stopped staying open overnight when the apocalypse went down. I do kind of want to buy a commercial van and lightly kit it out for the occasional day trip or overnight stay somewhere. I'd love to be able to take it to the middle of nowhere for a change of pace while working/writing/etc, or go be by myself in a thunderstorm, or go watch a horror movie in a place that is allegedly haunted.

A van is not insulated. You'll be at the mercy of the weather. Most times it will either be too hot or too cold and often to extremes. If it's just right during the day then it's gonna be way cold at night. If it's just right at night then it's gonna be unbearably hot during the day as the sun beats down it. Without spending a large amount of money on gas-ran heating and cooling for it, then that's gonna be the case. Then if you do have enough stuff in the van to even be able to survive, you're going to be miserably confined to an insanely tight living space.

It's not the dream world that clowns on YT and Insta are making it out to be, but I'm sure the home buyers like Blackrock will be thankful you fell for it.

Again, I'm not talking about a true RV or camper hooked up to running water and electricity somewhere, with a commode and shower either hooked to a external or internal septic.

With the way things are going, if you own a home right now you better be doing everything you can to keep it.

The 'van life' is a new age scam and only mentally defective useful idiot fools will fall for it thinking they can do that long-term easily and successfully.

Can you do it for a short period of time in discomfort? Yeah maybe for very hardy people. Can you make a good life out of it? Absolutely hell no not, and no properly thinking person would think that.

After only 1 night this is glaringly true. It can be done but there's nothing romantic about it. Get a plucking truck camper and do it temp is ok but this van life stuff is bs.

The problem with most van builds is that they lack a toilet/shower and unless you get a large van (too expensive) they're simply too cramped
