Ok so to make a long story short i feel like such a loser lately. I got let go from my job a couple of months ago (been applying), unemployment didn't go through yet so im broke AF, I have money coming in from a website design client i closed next week give or take but right now I literally have 17 cents in my bank account and cant even afford a beer. This sucks. It really makes you feel like crap having no money, no job no nothing. To make it worse i live with my family still at 34 years old. I really need to get my life together again and get out on my own

Yes but the reason i got let go from my past jobs is because my skill level doesnt match what they wanted, i took a web design bootcamp and know html, css, wordpress and a little javascript. All the jobs gave me a shot to learn on the job, but this past job i had let me go after a damn month, yet they think it will take a month to learn something? Crazy if you ask me

Im more into software then hardware though personally, i feel like with coding its a big GOAL of mine to do well and learn the skills needed.

If you're still in good shape one thing you could do is be a firefighter. It doesn't pay very well the first couple of years but hear me out here. You'll only be working 3 24 hour shifts a week which means you'll have plenty of time for a second job and since you'll be sleeping on the clock a lot its not really like other 40 hour a week jobs. Since it will either be a municipal or state job the benefits will be excellent. You could do freelance web design as your second job or if that doesn't work out something like landscaping.

You still have a place to stay, so stfu and and relax. You'll get a new job, you'll be making money again, and you won't be homeless in the meantime. Grab a beer out the fridge and grab your nuts. It's a nice day out ****git.

I used to be unemployed. i learned to enjoy it. As long as you have a roof over your head youre doing ok. i miss watching sports almost religiously. would schedule my entire day around MLB that starts at midday and ends at 1am. go dodgers.

They just let me go like that, no lie, its sucks but is what it is, my performance was "to slow" for them when building the websites. And i did have a lot of money in the bank at once point, from unemployment plus working that job. I spent a lot of it, camping trip, fixing my car, bills, i bought an external GPS as well, stuff like that, it just adds up and when you have no income coming in it drains the bank. And i know its my fault for not saving that much, im not the best with saving and i know thats fault as well, hence it makes me feel like more of a loser that i dont have my financial in order at 34

bro you have to save automatically. pay yourself first. have an emergency fund equal to 6 months living expenses and never touch it. save and invest FIRST - then spend what's left over. it's not too late to turn it around but you better start today. you'll be 40 before you know it.
