It's going to be kind of hot, but the State Fair just opened and Autumn at the Arboretum is on:

If you want good bbq check out Pecan Lodge or Hard eight. PL is pricey and always packed but the wait is worth it

Nightlife - if you like ghetto hipster trash check out deep ellum. A homeless person will beg for $ every 5 min and it’s full of joggers now. It used to be good. If you do go to Deep Ellum I recommend a bar called 'Stirr'. It's a rooftop bar that's not ghetto and has a lounge atmosphere. It does get pretty packed though so if you don't like cramped spaces and standing up the whole time prob not good for you. A good "dancing" bar would be "Theory" nightclub. It's a free "bar" but it's really just a nightclub the way it's set up.

Uptown has better nightlife but the girls are snarky

Ft. Worth (40 min from Dallas) has the best nightlife IMO

If you want to just chill at a cool laid back park in the middle of downtown check out Klyde Warren Park. They always got interesting things going on there like free shows and live bands playing, and a bunch of food carts. It’s great for dates

Been here for over 20 years and cannot wait to leave, I absolutely hate it here more and more every day. Unfortunately we make a lot of money here though and are stuck for now

State fair sucks, Six Flags is more fun imo

Mike Anderson bbq is the best bbq in Texas imo. It’s on Harry Hines blvd which is cracky af though fyi

Mecum auction was here a few weekends ago which was cool but of course they are gone now

I wouldn’t take the time to even piss on the bush museum

Holocaust museum is here if you’re interested in that. Deep ellum is more dangerous as the night goes on, uptown is nicer.

Lold' bad. But uptown is almost as bad as Deep Ellum now. Shootings, fights, etc. I would recommend Opie go to Knox Henderson/Greenville ave. Check out skellig, christies, alamo club, hg supply if your girl likes rooftop bars. If you have time after the concert check out Tiny Victories, its a few blocks away from that coffee shop. Goat cocktails.
