How much do you brahs pay for your gym memberships?

Not a huge fan of commercial gyms. Found two mom and pop gyms that are charging about $40/month and want a $50 enrollment fee for a 1 year contract. Wondering if that's too high. Or I can go to an overcrowded LA Fitness for $35/month

LA fitness near me is running a $0 enrollment $25/month no contract deal to try to get me back in there. I think pre-pandemic I was paying $25-29 a month for the previous ~10 years.

Now I just have a home gym so I'm on dat $0 a month game, but I don't get to see any sl00ts walking around

I don't.

I own a large mansion in the Mojave and there's a 40 meter-long infinity pool in the adjacent yard and an open-plan multipurpose gym in the backyard.

Had the mansion built for US$15m; took a year and two months to complete. Nice, bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows which can turn opaque either by voice command or by the click of a button. Also, there's a helipad behind the backyard and a small airstrip.

And no, I'm not a criminal and this isn't something right out of "GTA".

EDIT: It's gated with a long and large 10-car driveway, so don't even think of even attempting to try and break in. Home invaders will be shot before even reaching the outer boundaries.

Was about to enroll there yesterday, until they allowed me to have a free workout yesterday and all the equipment was occupied at only noon yesterday. That's why I started looking up mom and pop gyms.

$9.99/month. I go to Crunch, which really isn't a bad gym at all. It's light years beyond Planet Fitness, for the same price.

My main gym was on a DoD installation for free (as a Federal Employee), but it's been slightly over a year and a half since I've been there due to the coof.

$275 a month for a family swim and racquet club membership that has a gym. You can’t beat the equipment and they have an outdoor gym on the tennis court for lockdowns.

No fees at my gym.

And I never have to wait for any equipment.

And it's open to me 24/7.

And I have the key.

Oh and it's in my garage.

I pay 17,500 rubles ($250) a year at my main gym that is a 2 minute walk from my flat (which is a commercial bullchit ****maxxer gym for casuals but has a great spa facility that I use regularly) and then I pay like 1000 rubles ($15) a month at this little hardcore gym that takes like 10-15 minutes to drive to that I go to less frequently, but it was literally the first gym I ever went to in Russia after moving here, it's filled with srs lifters, has a great community, and the owner has become a friend so I keep my membership active to support a local gym run by lifters for lifters and because I train there at least a few times a month.

In reality, none of that money even comes out of my pocket though because my company offers 30,000 rubles ($400) annual compensation for gym memberships. Das absolutely it mane.

$40 for anytime fitness. A tiny gym that I pay a bit more than the LA down the street but it’s worth it. Rarely busy and the people aren’t as douchey as LA. Plus locations everywhere in the US. Lacking in the HBBs unfortunately.

$20. a month. It's a pretty basic gym with good equipment. No pool, track, basketball court, etc. Been thinking of joining a gym that's 5 min from me that has a pool to swim laps. That one is $20. also. Waiting to see what happens with vaccine mandates before I join.

I'm in a condo so can't really build a home gym. I do have some equipment like DBs, a barbell, some plates and squat stands. Plus a bunch of bands. I still like going to the gym once a week for the machines. And of course I'd need a gym with a pool to swim laps. I started going to neighborhood pool this summer to swim laps and it's great cardio so want to continue.

Damn I'm paying too much at $275 a month. Why does tennis have to be so damn expensive like golf. The gym isn't crowded though and is clean without smelling. It was hard when I joined 24 Hour Fitness to train with my former trainer as it smelled and it was crowded.

0$.

I built my own dungeon gym and have been exclusively training there for 3 years now. Can't imagine going back to a commercial gym.

I am fairly certain I used to pay 350-400 a year at a commercial gym. That was also low due to my long-standing contract as their client.
