When it comes to successfully being offered a job or getting a girlfriend, just know

That 99% of the time you were not that person's first choice. There was probably some guy that they interviewed who they thought would be a better candidate for the job but he declined their offer because he was too good for the role. Or that girlfriend of yours wanted to be with some chad she knew but could not get him and settled for you.
