WTF @ pea protein isolate

So I bought 22 pounds of pea protein isolate from myprotein because they had a seriously good deal on it AND their usual whey protein isolate was like $200 for the same amount of protein.

It showed up today and I gave it a shot with my usual protein shake mix:
-PB fit powder
-banana
-frozen berries
-oats
-water

With whey proton it's damn tasty as fudge but this fcking pea protein isolate is fukcing vile as hell. I can taste the weird barn-kind of taste/smell even after mixed with other flavors. Usually the peanut butter flavor masks everything else, but this pea protein isolate...

This is gonna be rough, getting through all this protein powder. 22 pounds... I goofed.Hard.

It seems you just have to double up on whatever flavors you add to it. Maybe I'll had a spoonful or two of cocoa powder to help. It legit reminds me of the smell of inside a barn.

by the way I should point out I bought unflavored powder. The flavored stuff might be less nasty. Unflavored whey by comparison tastes like almost nothing.

I tried this this protein supplement today and got it locally. Tons of leucine, iron, mag, zinc, complete BCCA's etc. Anabolic as it gets and I got it locally 5 mins away from home. That's not even the best part, best part is the amazing taste + satiety.

Mine wasn't really gritty, but fcking awful-tasting. I feel like I would have to double down on flavor additions to make it edible next time.
