MISC peeps with kids

I'm curious what your thoughts are about the School Board ****g0ts Association asking the DOJ to go after parents who disagree with all the BS schools are pushing onto kids these days (CRT/LGBTQ/ETC)? Are you afraid for their future?

Not a parent and never want to be but this whole thing seems like a very fuked up situation. One more step towards coommunism IMO

Yeah, cuz brainwashing children with more garbage and nonsense is the answer.

We all know that raising kids on a farm in the middle of nowhere is the way to go. If you can't shear a llama and make a sweater by the time you're 8, you'll come back home from gathering water from the well to find all of your belongings in a pile outside the log cabin.

My kids go to public school in the suburbs around Chicago, and have not been exposed to this crap yet.

My sister is a teacher at one of the top Chicago public high schools, there is definitely social engineering going on, and she is definitely liberal, but so far none of this crap is in her agenda.

I think it is insane and it seems like the only way to get out from under it would be to move out of any district with that attitude/plan. Otherwise you are supporting it with your tax dollars.

Believe it or not Catholic schools [at least 10 years ago] can be more academically rigorous and less indoctrinating than public schools. Public schools just indoctrinate kids for different things.

I felt like my daughter's schools in MI were pretty good. Maybe because she was in their TAG program. She did have an assignment that seemed pretty out there to me [barely remember it other than it was about some different religions and not in a "social studies" kind of way].

She did school online last year. Right now the plan is to finish high school via some kind of online platform, or worst case GED/junior college or technical school. She has no interest in a regular 4 year college and she can read, write, and calculate so high school feels like just ticking a box really.
