Tough question. I would say it can vary depending on when a person started serious training. A child who started at 8 is going to peak earlier than someone who started at 18, for instance.

In explosive power/sprint events, estimates decreased with increasing event duration, ranging from ~27 years (athletics throws, ~1-5 s) to ~20 years (swimming, ~21-245 s). Conversely, estimates for endurance events increased with increasing event duration, ranging from ~20 years (swimming, ~2-15 min) to ~39 years (ultra-distance cycling, ~27-29 h).

Me personally, feel my athletic peak was 18, and while I still feel good 20 years later, i'm not lifting anywhere near what I could back then. Played baseball in school, dont think I would run, hit, throw like I did back then, not that ive tried playing in years.
For hockey forwards peak early 20s but defence man peak mid to late 20s and sometimes early 30s

Same with goalies

26

usually after the age of 26 you do not progress physically. You're not going to get any faster, become quicker or functionally stronger assuming you have lifting and strength and conditioning coaches.

At that point it becomes more about improving fundamentals and becoming more intelligent in regards to the sport you are playing.

20s

depends on the sport

figure skating, gymnastics its better to be younger and more flexible and nimble

i think you see older people in the bike racing (the ones where they got quads like ronnie coleman) because it takes times to build up that mass

Depends completely on the sport.

If its a combination of explosiveness and technique, somewhere around 24-25. If its a combination of technique and endurance, somewhere around 30-35. If its a combination of all three, depending on which factor is the most important, somewhere around 25-30.

For instance, a sprinter will never hit his prime post 35, yet an endurance runner will be able to do just that. A sport where technical maturing is extremely important, like soccer, most players will hit their skill peak later than their physical peak for the sport. In soccer the physical peak is likely early to mid 20s, yet most players perform their best towards the latter stages of their 20s.
390 back squat
285 bench press
500 deadlift (I don't DL anymore)
