Brb literally doing jack diddly squat and getting paid a dank salary.
Brb can focus on other hobbies interests while working without having to quit since I basically send a few emails and call it a day.
Brb some days I spend the entire day out and about while a 10 hour youtube video keeps my Slack status active/responding to messages with phone.
Brb looking outside the window and laughing at all non-WFHcels.
Brb rinse all day with no repercussions.
Brb if your company was tech/publicly traded, your company stock was up 400% or more.
Life is good brahs.

When there's work to be done I have to work long hours, often for several days in a row. I also haven't had a pay rise for years lol (yes I know every miscer gets a 20% pay rise each year so bear with me). So whenever I have a slow day I take full advantage of it (do online courses, study for interviews, game, monitor my share portfolio, talk chit on forums etc.).

Currently juggling three 6-figure jobs here, had been doing 2 since prior to COVID. Been a special circumstance remote consultant/employee working remote for almost 9 years thanks to the high knowledge/low effort of it all.
I run 2 on my personal laptop in virtual environments, and the other on a separate laptop w/VPN and a "bluetooth mouse" that's really a $10 mouse jiggler USB dongle to keep me active while I'm rarely on it. I recommend that, they can never block youtube or notice you're streaming on their VPN, etc. The juggler is so my screen doesn't lock out and require a login, work doesn't care if I'm sitting there as long as I'm getting things done and am reachable on the odd chance someone needs me stat.
Even w/o the extra gigs I couldn't and wouldn't go back into the office, but I'd had that mentality for years even when I only made 40K 11 years ago. Not commuting or rotting in an office was worth staying home for. Now I still have much of that plus a whole lot more $$.
My wife works at home now thanks to COVID and she's busier than I am with all 3 jobs put together. Money is not commensurate either, surprise surprise.

Lol at not working from home and having freedom to totally step away without your employer caring.
OP you’re still a slave who hasn’t quite leveled up if you’re busy playing peasant tricks like running a 10h YouTube video to make it look like your active without getting in trouble.
All my company cares about is that work is getting done.
I literally go to the gym in the middle of the day for 2-3 hours every day when there’s no meetings and don’t even worry my Slack status has shown me as away
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I've been WFH since the pandemic started
Hate it (srs), here's why
- working more than ever, its really hard to stop when there's no line between work and home
- I can't stand video conferencing, and yet there's always one or two people who will put meetings on everyone's calendar instead of just sending a slack message
- I have less control over my schedule than before because of the above
- slowly turn into a slob, little by little I care less about my appearance, keeping place clean etc
- sleep schedule is beyond messed up, nearly impossible for me to get out of bed these days
- eating schedule is messed up, sleep in too late to eat breakfast when I wake up, end up skipping lunch most days, and I'm working so late in the evening dinner is pushed back too
- plenty of cool people I used to interact with at work, happy hours etc. None of that at home
- no energy after work for anything fun, and on the weekend I still can't get work off my mind and never feel like going out anymore
Yeah I guess I save a little road rage that I'd get every few weeks, but the negatives are far bigger than the positives
worst thing to happen to me

Yeah I guess I save a little road rage that I'd get every few weeks, but the negatives are far bigger than the positives
worst thing to happen to me
The only good things are no commuting and jogging an hour at lunch break.
I really miss human interactions.

You keep seeing all these random articles shared around on the internet with titles like: "greedy companies stuck in the past forcing employees back in, employees say no!"
But really I think its industry collectively pushing this mirage that work from home is so great
If you think about it they are getting the bigger end of the stick. Lower office/real estate costs, not paying for parking, easier to find remote employees, employees working like dogs work from
Years before the pandemic, someone I know in his mid 20s moved back home and tried to WFH in another state. He got horribly depressed and quit a few months in. Not an atypical experience
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)
