There's an underappreciated horror element in the first Terminator.

Great film, of course, but there's an even deeper horror element to complement the sci-fi, which makes it such a more chilling experience. It's this scene:

You know that guy you're holding upstairs, the raving loon, wearing piss-stained bum pants, ranting about a time-travelling cyborg with a story he can't back up with a shred of evidence? The one you were laughing and mocking at a minute ago?

He was right about everything. All the crazy chit was shouting in the interview room was true. The thing that just crashed through the door with a spas-12 and an auto rifle, is a time-travelling cyborg from the future. He's here to kill everyone in the building, the weapons at your disposal are useless against him, and you're going to die.

It's little elements like this which make great films.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

It’s hot screen correct for the bust , so I have to destroy his clothing , like put bullet holes and tear off the arm of a $500 replica jacket lol

I am going to install some Servos to give him some degree of random movements.

Here’s how he’s going to look someday

Here’s a close up of the bust

There does seem to be an element of cosmic horror intertwined here, while the antagonist is not some gruesome monstrosity and its form is human, its intentions are unknown and its power is beyond what the mind can concieve or understand

It would definitely bring a sense of dread to have to confront such a being knowing you stand little chance

cottamn that's cool. mirin' hard brah. imagine you forget that's there one night when you steer yourself to take a piss, deliriously half-asleep still, and you see this staring back at you in the darkness, the soft glow of a full moon casting shadows on his wrecked cyborg face.

It's scary as the couple are on the run from a ruthless killing machine who just rolled through an entire Police station and can eat shotgun blasts like most people eat Cheetos.

Sure, but there was a bit of a plot hole after that part. You can hear on the radio that the largest manhunt in California history is underway. The FBI, police, national guard are all going to be looking for the Terminator. He can't hide for long and his attention and effort would all be devoted to fighting back against the police or having to evade them.

Sarah and Reece should have just chilled after that, get far enough away from Cali and then just chill. The Terminator relies on stealth and hes now become the most wanted man in the country. Just let the authorities take him down.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.
