The world has been trying to keep population growth down in 3rd world for a long time. The original focus was through contraception (this didn't really work) raw dawg or nah dawg nomsayn. This is a direct measure to lower population growth. As many miscers are aware, contraception is never 100% effective and even with perfect use accidents happen etc. Most miscers would be fathers if there wasn't access to abortions etc (whatever your views are on that). Separate topic. People in 3rd world didn't really have any money and there was always humanitarian aid to help their situation. Population growth continues rapidly because 1st world doesn't like people starving.

With contraceptives not really working, what else can be done?

Hmm, if you lower disease rates people live longer. If they live longer and can keep working they have more money. If they accumulate more money they buy assets. More money going into assets Cost of Living increases. Cost of Living increases can't afford babies. People innately want to be better than their peers with the trappings of wealth so they say "fuk I can't afford kids". I can't afford kids = people don't have kids. People don't have kids = population growth stabilises or declines as in 1st world countries.

This is known as an indirect measure.

As can be seen in our lifetime if you are late 20s or older, Africa (i think they have the highest birth rates currently >5 per woman from memory) is starting to industrialise, people are seeing the West and want sum of dat. People are buying Nikes and Smart phones. People want to educate themselves. Education = women not having kids early. Women not having kids early = population declines. Another indirect measure.


If the boogeyman wanted you dead you'd be dead. There is nothing you can do. Chill out and be happy.
