Lmao, everyone including me in my job is getting fired.

Hotel I work at employs over 500 people. They sold the property and the new owners are firing everyone because they're going to rebuild and renovate. They're giving us a 1k per year of service in the company.

Getting a cool 6k for my 6 years of service, everyone's last day is December 8. Not going to do jack chit for the next two months. Feel bad for the idiots who gave 40+ years of their life only to lose all their pension. Such is the life of a tradie I guess.

That severance is chit tier

I worked for this one crappy company for 7 months and they laid off a good portion of the staff including me. I got about $13K in severance for 7 months of service.
