Firing nurses during a pandemic because they're not vaccinated

Imagine that.

Imaging firing vital healthcare workers during a pandemic, and then also consider those hospitals/clinics were already short staffed to begin with.

Hope everyone enjoys their new filipino nurse during the deadliest pandemic to ever grace the earth.

Does anyone else feel like they're living in a fukin mindfuk clown world where everyone has lost their damn minds.

And who decided simply being vaccinated is better than being tested weekly? Are you saying the vaccinated are immune from catching covid and becoming infectious? Do you feel safer around someone who is regularly tested or someone who is simply vaxxed?

I work at a big company that has an EMT division w/ paramedics etc. We already can't staff trucks and on Monday they announced they will be mandating the vaccine. Huge changes afoot... and I'm tight with one of the guys in charge. We had a talk yesterday and they accepted the mandate because we will get 20 million dollars in gov/medicaid funding lmao.

Over a hundred guys have quit this week alone. We're across Tx, La and little bit of Ms. In Texas there is no mandate but the company is doing it anyway because $$$ talks.

If they don't accept my religious exemption im out.

My employer accepted my religious exemption but something tells me our Overlord Newsom will slash that and not allow any exemptions and then I'll be forced to.

Also LA county will soon require vax to get a haircut or go to an indoor bar etc

I know a nurse and a doctor that quit because they were going to be fired for not getting the vax. The doctor just went to another hospital in a neighboring state that doesn't require it.

I work in healthcare, all Healthcare workers in the UK need to be double jabbed by early November to continue to work.

Nursing homes/care homes are really understaffed as people would rather change role then get the jab, HCA'S & Support Workers are not even biting when we all offer £3 increase per hour.

Weird that nobody cared when HCA'S would bring the FLU into care homes each year.

At the beginning of the pandemic it was big corps like Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc that made a killing from government mandated monopolizing of the market while small businesses went bust.

Now it's clearly big pharma's time and the government will stop at nothing to line the pockets of special interest while directly expanding their power, power that they don't plan on relinquishing any time soon.

When people die because they can't be treated because the hospital is short staffed, and the people who fired those people openly blame the people they fired, it's not going to go well.

Anyone with two bits of logic knows that they made the decision to fire them and those people would be there if it weren't for them.

Last job I had my boss asked me to stay late because he fired the guy closing that deparment for showing up late too many times. When he said "It's not my fault he was late" I said "yeah but it's your fault he isn't here" and told him to do the work himself. Idiots like him is why I changed jobs.
