No Time To Die… (SPOILERS)

Have to say I was pretty disappointed with this movie. It was a decent action movie but imo that wasn’t James Bond.

For all the hype surrounding the black female 007, she was ridiculously underused.

Also looks like the days of a womanizing Bond are over. We even had Ana De Armas’s character visibly repulsed by him lol

And killing off Bond? Come on, the whole point of James Bond is escaping impossible situations.

4/10

They had to write him out somehow. But I have a feeling they are rethinking the whole black female James Bond after the backlash and that won't happen now. They know it would be a disaster.

To be honest I don’t think there was ever a chance of that happening. To me, the character in this movie was just a gimmick that I suspect was picked to generate news stories.

The actress was actually good but I don’t think she was that significant to the plot whatsoever.

I agree, it was a decent action flick but didn’t feel like JB. Was almost like John Wick at the end. I get why he wanted to be killed off, but now in 5 years they can’t make a new one and have the main character come in as James Bond, which really messes up the whole franchise. Maybe they could start making 008 stories? Also the end didn’t really make too much sense. They needed the missiles to immediately blow up the island after he killed everyone? Could have waited and tried to have scientists create some kind of microbot that killed the microbots. I know it took 10 years to make the first ones, but I think it would be much quicker and atleast would give them a chance. Overall it was fun enough to watch, just not the classic JB quality or story really.

Don’t really think it matters that he’s dead. Bond movies have never really been about continuity, except in the Craig era.

It does mean that we probably won’t see a new Bond movie until 2025-6, which is a bummer.

I thought it was kind of middle of the road Craig Bond film. Definitely behind Casino Royale and Skyfall. But I thought it was a fine was to send him off. Not a great Bond film, but not the worst.
But I'm really glad we get a new Bond now. Although they'll probably try and make him more woke than ever.

That’s the thing, if they do go down this route, what’s the point of watching it? Plenty of other movies that do action better.
