How long to wait for an interview?

Cliffs:
-Applied for a job, got an email from the recruiter on Wednesday
-"Would you be available for a quick phone call in the next couple days?"
-I reply later that day that I'm open and she can pick the day and time
-Never hear back

Usually recruiters get back to me within 24 hours. It sounded like she wanted a phone call before the end of the week. I'm careful to reach out again for fear of being a pain in the ass but I can't imagine she wouldn't at least reach out and let me know one way or the other. How much longer should I wait before I double text, so to speak? Should I even?

yeah I was thinking the same thing. Almost 1 week away from the first contact, too. Will probably say fuggit if I don't hear back by then.

The manager recommended me and it's going to be a promotion so I'll be pissed if I have to let this one go

If it’s already Monday now I’d just call up tomorrow, usually I’d wait 3 days for a regular interview but with a recruiter I’ve called next day or day after to follow up since they know how the game works and have a lot of people Anyway

Don't ever bother emailing/calling them multiple times in a row. Maybe they're taking a bit to get things done, maybe they're just ghosting you. Who knows. But any chance you might have left with them will get flushed directly down the toilet if you double contact them like that. Double contacting a job is like double texting a woman you're trying to date; dries them up like the Mojave.

Whenever you interview, always ask when you can expect to hear back. Also, did you email a thank you letter for the interview?

Own a staffing agency here.

You can’t do wrong to them. They work for you. Harass them for an answer. Sounds like a lazy recruiter. Usually we deal with candidates not responding, not the opposite. My bloods boiling right now.

99% of staffing agencies are garbage.

Yeah I figured even when working with a direct-hire, no staffing agency, the onsite recruiter in HR would still be on top of it all. I'll give it to the end of the week then ask the manager "what hell, bro?"
