Planning a Trip, need advice from my NM Brahs

What’s up y’all?
Planning a road trip through NM next month up from San Antonio, TX.
I’ve heard the Gila Wilderness is a must see, any other recommendations?
Looking like a 5 day trip.

Car camping the majority of the time and planning to stay in a cool hotel the last night to recoup before the drive home.

Loved the carlsbad caverns(they were huge!), white sands, and tent rocks(dick-shaped rock formations).

I dread driving through NM every single time I have done it. Nothing to see. Move on, besides the caverns.
