Had to get the vax today for work. [deadline] J&J tho, so it was only one shot

I feel defeated, but I had no choice. Employer said it was either that or a layoff.

Everybody is gonna have to get it at some point anyways.

I know this might just be easier for me to say because I live in an area where I probably won’t have to worry about it….but honestly, if this isn’t the hill to stand firm on then what is? Once they can make you get an injection that doesn’t work to stop a virus that isn’t a threat with a substance that hasn’t been studied long term then they can make you do anything.

Yeah, it is easier for you to say. If you got a family depending on you to put a roof over their head and food on the table, unless you have deep saving and other avenues of income, there really is no choice. Some men risk their lives doing dangerous jobs to feed their families. In terms of health risks, the jab pales in comparison.

It’s not about the health risks of the jab, it’s about standing up for what you believe as an individual. At some point people need to stop bending over and say “enough is enough”.

I agree with this. However, most of the people who are against mandating vax aren't going to protest in mass like BLM and Antifa, so your best bet in making a "stand" for this is moving to Texas or Florida. If you live in any Blue state and can't move out, taking a stand is pointless.

So, this applies the to electricians union. I'm not an electrician (not my trade), but we're all really close on the job.

Their company safety person was walking around the job site telling the mechanics and apprentices if they were vaccinated they needed to email their vaccine cards to HR if they didn't want to comply with all the rules for unvax'd people.

Seven of the guys submitted fraudulent cards. I don't know what the check consisted of that their HR office did, but all seven of the guys who submitted the fake cards got fired the next day.

Huge story at the time. When you work with these guys for so long in such chitty conditions you do form a kind of brotherhood. It was a sad day for sure.

whats completely bonkers is the complete lack of integrity anywhere in academia, medicine, or the rest of STEM. Its almost as if most if it is bought and owned by a cohesive group of like minded individuals that have been invested in the idea of controlling the masses for generations.
