Old woman with hobbies...reps till I'm out.

I'm known for my food and baking threads because I'm not that exciting. I shoot photography, (mostly children's portrait,) which is why you never see my work here. I recently started getting into refinishing old furniture and sold my first piece today. Some things are so pretty I don't change a thing. Other things I give a slight makeover to bring new life. It's just a hobby and I'm kinda diggin it.

Have you worked with chalk paint yet? You can really spice up an old piece of furniture with it. It's crazy expensive (relative to normal paint) but there's allot of interest in the "aged look". Nice job on the chair!

I like the green , it accents the other colour better IMO, and looks a little more modern

I think that pistachio green color was very common back in the 1940s or 1950s or so. It depends on if she was going for a vintage look.

Restorations are always cool. I miss that show that used to be on the History channel. The guy who restored old pinball machines and milkshake makers

yeah well 99.9 percent of people don't live in clown homes and when you ruin the vintage look you just have a piece of trash. you have no taste... none of my fam or friends in vegas or miami or cali would even put this in their homes and my boy literally furnished his place randomly with 80 bands of antique furniture. people want antiques for the antique value. when you paint them in clown colors you devalue them and now they are worthless. if you got poverty people or family members buying this chit im happy for you. but nobody with money wants this chit and will have this in their home. its phuckin ugly op...
