How do you choose a gym? (semi srs)

I workout at home, bored of the environment and want more equipment (machines, dumbells, stairclimbers, etc)

Here's some of the options:

- Normal chain gyms like la fitness. Bad hours, like closing at 9PM. I usually work pretty late into the evening so this is out. They're also extremely crowded
- Some smaller gyms that are open 24 hours (swipe a card to get in). Poor equipment, like only having 3 sets of 45lb plates so this is out
- "Luxury" gyms, not 24 hours but still really good hours. Not very crowded and very good equipment. Also has saunas and chit. But very expensive (over 100/month) and a bit of a drive
- Some "hardcore" gyms meant for "real lifting", but almost as expensive as above, and chitty ass variety of equipment (basically just a giant shed with tons of racks). Might as well just stay home.

How do you choose?
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

For me the number #1 factor has to be that it's open 24 hours, which pretty much eliminates most gyms these days since the plannedemic.... so now I would choose one that's open late.

#2: it has to have a pool so I can swim laps.
#3: it has to be clean

#4: they have to accept credit card as payment, I will NEVER allow a gym to have access to withdraw money from my bank account.
Everything I post is satire.

Yeah not a lot of 24 hour places around here. Open till midnight would be late enough for me. But closing at 9 or 10 is ass

Seems like a lot of places will do paid in full for a year to avoid setting up bank info. And you might get a little bit of a discount

1. Most convenient to visit on my drive after work

2. Enough benches, squat racks, etc so I don't have to wait

3. No mask mandate (I live in SoCal)

Currently have two gym passes. One for Chuze fitness since there's a gym 4 min from my house and another one right next to work. It's clean, lots of equipment, and filled with HBBs. Also have a 24 hour fitness pass for when I travel.

The most important thing to me is how accessible it is on a daily basis. I want something easy to drive to and is on my normal driving route.
