Fuark They Don't Make Em Like This Anymore Fam (srs)
Srs.
Spoiler!
Another miscer posted in a thread that he's been watching old westerns lately. Instantly triggered memories of watching this movie (Heidi) and spaghetti westerns on my Papa's lap when I was a little boy until I fell asleep.
He'd wake me up when it was time to leave and give me a dollar to buy some candy. But, he knew I was very shy and had trouble asking for what I wanted, so he'd look at me knowingly and would make me ask, everytime. Looking back on it now I see the seeds he planted that helped me grow into the man that I am today.
We lost him when I was 19 and man do I wish I could hear his take on the world today. He was a no nonsense man with a big heart that he did not wear on his sleeve.
If any of you brahs have lost a Papa or some equivalent remember they are waiting for you. Do what you gotta do to see them again. And, maybe more importantly, think about the fact you might be as important to someone as they were to you, and that memories you are creating today and tomorrow can be the memories that help someone else in the future to carry on after you pass.
That's all. Cheers brahs.
Inb4 op is a *******.

The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.
