So I scrolledall the way to the bottomof your resume and saw you used to work a skill-less assembly line job 14 years ago. I have a few assembler opportunities in the area. Tech primarily but also finance, hr , marketing. I think we’ve dmed before but could be mistaken.

We don’t do a lot of that bs that big firms do to the ass whipe guy. We work with amazing clients and the only way someone takes the job is if they think it will better their life.

I worked for an external agency. There are good recruiters, and there are bad recruiters.

Having leverage (multiple offers) would be a good way to negotiate. However, having a good recruiter there can help /w that.

Never scammed anyone have some amazing relationships I’ve built with people I’ve placed into dream jobs. We do mostly high level stuff.

For salary negotiations rule 1 is going to be he who speaks first loses. They are going to try and tell you they don’t know budget and to go off a number you give. Stick to your guns don’t give it until budget can push off saying you want to see jd first. Then whatever number they say go for a bit higher.

That’s assuming it’s a contract. If it’s direct hire they are actually incentives to have you earn more.

lmao had a recruiter (not from a staffing group, actually) try to get me to sign on for a tech position (I applied for an engineer.) Told them I was more interested in the eng position as it pays a more adequate salary. She comes back a couple weeks later and says "Why don't you come in for a tour of the building and we can talk about the tech position?"

fwiw 100% of my success in the job market so far is with applying to companies myself, rather than going through a recruiter. I do know some people who landed management positions through a recruiter so I have no idea why I'm getting offered chitty assembly jobs. brb 25k pay cut from your previous job. Interested?

Job hunted for 6 months during Rona and I would say 90% of the recruiters I met were active harmful to my job search. Bunch of ****** who either didn't read beyond their autofilter keywords (I have 0-2 years experience, NOT 12-15 like you are trying to recruit for), or tried to cheat me on temp work.

Recruiters are on my "oxygen thieves" list, along with California transplants, central bankers, and League of Legends players.
