Very misleading thread title. Dog charges at cop, cop fires at dog, misses, round hits floor, breaks into fragments, one fragment ricochets and hits girl. I came into this thread thinking some kid was intentionally shot in the head.

The girl survived with some scarring. She was only hit with shrapnel. Just want to make this clear because OP did not.

The article makes a big deal about how close she was almost hit in the eye and blinded. Pretty dumb to complain about that tbh when she only got scratches and the other possibility was dying in front of family.

He really is a dumbass for shooting at the dog in that area. Glad he got fired before he killed someone that shouldn’t have been killed.

I used to deal with mean dogs all the time years ago and never had to shoot one. This guys too scared to be a cop. He was so scared of that little dog he’d rather risk opening fire in a room full of kids than possibly getting bit.

I work in law enforcement and that cop is a bish. He's weak as hell for firing at a tiny little bull terrier. I'm glad WPD fired him because lord knows her family is more than likely going to sue. I know some great cops and his weak ass just makes the profession look weak and cowardly. Good riddance really.
