Is it society? Or is it corporate marketing? Think about everything that you believe makes you a "manly man". Every single one of those things were part of a marketing campaign that told you what you had to think, what you had to do, and what you had to buy, in order to be that "manly man". It's the reason that you feel that it's somehow still okay for a manly man to use perfumes and lotions, yes perfumes and lotions, as long as they have manly sounding names like Old Spice's Hawthorne. Bottom line, peoples views are largely based on what corporations tell them to think, so they can sell products.

I guarantee you that if Under Armour came out with a male thong, along with a huge marketing campaign where they paid a crap ton of money to athletes and every other type of manly man to endorse it, you'd be wearing a thong. Why? Because you were told it's manly, just like everything else you were told to buy because it was manly......when it was just to make money all along.
