Fkn lmao at NPR podcast

https://www.npr.org/2021/10/29/10505...d-of-inflation

Now they're telling us inflation can't happen if we don't believe it will, so its nothing to worry about

As if zimbabwe could have avoided their hyper inflation if they just believed otherwise, nah the government printing trillion dollar bills had nothing to do with it

Its like they think we were born yesterday

This is actually semi-true.

Inflationary psychology is a state of mind that leads consumers to spend more quickly than they otherwise would in the belief that prices are rising. Most consumers will spend their money on a product immediately if they think its price is going to increase shortly.

Sure, money velocity has an effect on prices (mv = py)

But the podcast is saying something different, from a strictly logic perspective

fear implies inflation, we agree on this

but that doesn't mean "not fear implies not inflation" which is what the podcast is saying

Because fear isn't the only cause of inflation

Because thee is no Gold standard, or any real value attached to our currency, it's worth whatever we think it's worth. Honestly, everything is an auction when you come to think of it.

And to go back on that formula, mv = py

m = monetary supply, M2 grew by like 40% over the pandemic
v = velocity of money, growing a lot since the start of the pandemic since stuff is opening up
y = gdp, gdp forecasts just went in the toilet

m and v are both increasing, y is flat

so p has to explode
p = prices

inflation is going to be bad, srs

Anyone who denies this is a fool

I don't think the gold standard or lack of is the issue. And we need a money supply that grows with our amount of wealth otherwise we have deflation

40% of our money supply was created in the pandemic, that is the problem

With these trillion dollar bills put out, its like people think we can fix problems by pretending every dollar bill is a 10, every 10 dollar bill is a 100, and so on. Yay, everyone has 10x as much money!

When the government is printing this much money to fund projects

Remember those dollars they print reduces the purchasing power of everyone else, they are essentially taking a little bit of everyone else's spending power when they do this

When they do it on such a large scale, they are essentially being central planners of the economy, single handily controlling which industries get funding, and on what, etc

Anyone who took a basic economics class knows that centrally planned economies (aka COMMUNISM) don't work, because a central planner can never make optimal decisions with something so complex as a country's economy

yep. Grew up on NPR but they wen't full retard around Trump getting elected is when I really noticed. I'm not even a Trump guy but their ideological bent just became so obvious and all encompassing you can't take them serious anymore. Than in 2020 during all the BLM stuff they became literally unlistenable to me. Can't go 30 seconds without making the topic about race/sex/gender.

They should not receive tax payers money when they're so obviously biased.

Exactly, but if we had a gold standard, they couldn't really print money. That's why they got rid of it.

Sure, but a government that is powerful enough to print money is also powerful enough to take us off the gold standard in the first place

And look up fractional reserve banking, most money in our economy isn't actually printed, same thing can happen with gold too unless everyone owns their money in physical gold, and does transactions in physical gold

I don' think getting off of the gold standard is an issue

"no more taxes for those making under 400k"

Soon someone making 400k will be equivalent to someone making 200k when that phrase was first started, and 400k was the deal not 200k

We'll see if the tax brackets keep pace with inflation. Not holding my breath

"That wasn't real communism."
"Antifa isn't even real. It's an idea."
"That isn't inflation, you're causing inflation by calling it inflation."
"COVID causes heart problems! Certainly not the heart-problem vaccine causing them!"

All of these institutions have gone so fully neo-communist / cultural marxist, they have nothing left but gaslighting and projection.

It's the perfect podcast, because when inflation inevitably gets bad, the narrative then can shift to "it wasn't printing trillions of dollars that did it, it was your fault for believing in it. Now lets print trillions more, and how about you try not believing in it this time!"

True, but also realize that the government's power is also assumed. Funny how powerless our government is when trying to control people who absolutely DGAF about what they say, such as rice farmers in the jungle and goat hearders in the mountains. They didn't even have F15's or nukes.

Trust the plan fgt

We are building back better one trans at a time

Give us your children for 12 hours a day

Wile your wife works and her lesbian co workers can coax her into becoming bisexual and “finding herself” at age 35

She can then come home and put on globohomo Disney shows for your now trans daughter

Wile she fuks herself with a vibratory watching Netflix showed about women “finding themselves at age 35”

And you can go kill your liver with coors light and fap to tranny porn

And tell your wife how good she looks on her tinder profile.
