Just realized I dont really know what type of sushi I like, I only like crunchy onion
I realized my understanding of sushi only goes as far as if it has crunchy onions sprinkled on it or not.
Thats it, thats all I particularly like and know about it.
Been eating it for 20 years, throw the green stuff on, maybe some white wet leaves things, and thats all I know.
With all the stuff in there I cant tell the difference from one sushi type to the next.
I used to think I liked "California rolls" but thats just avocados I realized, I forget which ones really wowed me, I think they involved shrimp or crab, but more than anything, I like the sprinkled onions.
Not sure if the onions are americanized elements or not, but thats really what makes me pick sushi from a store is just the onions, which one looks crunchy.
I dont actually know or tell the difference, they all taste like rice and green stuff, with some bonus goodies in the middle that seem almost interchangeable to me.
Anyone relate to this vagueness?

I just can't get on the sushi/roll wave. My friends like it, so I'll eat it if that's what they wanna go out and grab. But I much rather go to a steakhouse, diner, or even a place like TGIF. I'm not a fan of seafood in general. I will really only eat something like a California roll.

And sushi is the goat meal before going out because the rice soaks up the alcohol.

What is the most basically creamy ones that Im probably thinking? I feel like it involves creamy seafood meat, could be tempura shrimp roll with onion flakes that im thinking of.
Its has a neutral meaty creamy flavor. Maybe crab maybe something else like tuna...

Kinda the same here OP
I don't bother learning the name of the different sushi rolls at all. If you asked me what my favorite roll is I'd reply with "whichever your mom feeds me as I'm plowing her"

Also is it just me or was that green stuff way stronger back in the 90s? Or was it just I was more sensitive to it. I always assumed over the years that I was just getting weaker stuff since I dont get too official with it when I buy it. But maybe its just something that hit me way harder back in the day and no longer feel that wheezing whiff of harshness anymore.

Choose the one that has max protein and slam it down
Doesn't taste had but it isn't really good either

I love sushi. Been trying to branch out more when I get it though and try more of a variety. But spicy salmon rolls are always a staple of my order. Simple but effective.
