The signing bonus would likely be contingent upon fulfillment of the contract and would have to be paid back in the event the contract is dissolved. I dunno, though, it would depend on what his lawyer negotiated.

I am pretty sure there would at least be a significant percentage owed in the event of something that keeps him from honoring the contract. Something like that would typically be put in place to encourage performance and deter abdication, but not necessarily for some unforeseen event like this.

According to Nevada law a death caused by DUI is a felony with 2-20 year jail time, he'll serve at least 2 years if found guilty.

The gas tank builds pressure when the car is in operation. In a collision like this sudden impact that causes the tank to rupture for whatever reason (perhaps a piece of metal) in combination with sparks can cause an explosive conflagration.

Without pressure you could still get a fire with a ruptured tank and sparks, but it's not going to combust explosively.

anyone remember a few years ago a nfl player killed his teammate driving drunk served no jail time and still got to play in the nfl. Josh brent I believe is his name.

I thought cars catching on fire after a crash was mainly a Hollywood movie thing and not real.
