I don’t think anyone is questioning that. They are just used to seeing normal cars lose control at high speeds in this situation. This is slower but they can’t do much in regular cars against a big rig.

Normal cars who slow down after their tires get blown still go on for a while sometimes in these situations.

Also the cops don’t want to get too close for fear of getting shot.
