Anyone ever ordered retainers online?

Used to have braces 10 years ago or so and wore my retainers for until then but they broke a few months ago.
My old orthodontics is MIA and probably retired, I tried to track him down but his old office told me they don't have my old teeth mold so I need to redo some impression again.

Has anyone ordered those teeth mold you can order online? if so , how legit are they? I just want to wear some retainers at night and keep my teeth as straight as possible, they're not like they used to be when I got my braces off but they're still 8/10 so I don't want to wear braces again.

Dunno been thinking about doing smiledirectclub due to minor shifting 15+ years after having braces. Curious if anyone here has tried it

I haven't need to do it yet but I've heard good things about clearretain.com

They have step by step instructions so you don't mess up.

My teeth are 95% straight, found my old retainers and cant even pop them in anymore.

Not really worth 2k to move a few teeth fractions of a mm tho
