Arcane on Netflix (Based off of League of Legends lore)

So the trailers that came out for the show made me really like the art style.
Didn't have very high hopes of it actually being any good as a show based off of a MOBA game, but League of Legends has lots of characters and lore, so I hoped for it to be at least mildly entertaining.

But got dam was it good boyos (The first 3 eps at least) You don't even need to be aware of the game League of Legends to follow/understand it, but they still have plenty of small easter eggs to notice for fans of the game without feeling like they are pandering to the players.

The ending to episode 3 was ****ing awesome.

First 3 eps released yesterday, and 3 more eps will release each of the next 2 weeks. The 3 episodes every week each cover an arc of the overall story.
Absolutely recommend. Literally feel like it could be one of the best shows oN netflix right now if the next 6 episodes are the same quality.

I've always wanted them to make an Overwatch movie/TV series because their cinematics are absolutely top tier, out of this world. Say what you want about Blizzard, or Overwatch itself, their cinematics are second to none and would make an incredible Pixar-esque show.

Haven't played LoL in years but I'll check it out. That game was so addicting. I played from like 2013-2017 or so.

Two of the main characters have pink or blue hair, and are female. So SUPER WOKE/10?

There are no real relationships so far, so I donno if anyone has a case of the gays, but one of the main characters is pretty butch.

Got around to it. Godly as far as video games adaptions go lol, but as a show onto itself it's a solid 7 or 8. A bit hypier if you play league since you know how all the playable characters end up tho.

Say what you want about league but their animated shorts have always been 10/10, rivaling OG blizzard's cinematics. This is the evolution of that


The show is good. Only issue is everything feels closed off. Almost every single set piece is in a room or a variation of a room. It makes the world feel cramped

2nd act wasn't as good as the first, but still a good watch. surprised there wasn't any real wokeness on the show.

Maybe last decade. They have hot garbage for talent now. Independent 40k cinematographers are legitimately the best in the business now, and they do all their work from a phucking shack in 100 degree weather in Siberia

One of the best animated series in a long time. I thought it will be too hyped before because I play LOL but actually Riot is excellent in the animation department.

Actually surprisingly enjoyable.

I thought Act 2 slowed down a bit, but where it left off leaves you feeling pretty good about act 3 (which is where I assume we finally start seeing some actual abilities. Pullover was pretty boring pre-hextech

Act 2 resolved the problem of all the set pieces being mostly small cramped rooms

Next issue is anytime they show a large city/landscape, it’s just a picture. Or a picture with moving blimps. It doesn’t feel alive.

I think that's intentional though, they really went with that hand-drawn feel for the art style and I'm digging it.

The show is actually really well done, even my wife is liking it and she's not even aware of what LoL is.

Second act was solid.
No moment that stands out as much as Act 1's final Vi/Powder scene, but it's still really good.

I am absolutely loving Jinx and how they are portraying her craziness.
The Vi/Cait chit is good too, but they might have a case of the gays so some of u gonna be rustled.

Really surprised at how much I'm liking this show atm. Can't wait to see how it ends.

Never played a match of LoL in my life but watched the first 2 episodes last night out of curiosity and thought it was pretty solid. Enough so that I plan to continue watching it.
