Raiders sign Desean Jackson

https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-to-...desean-jackson

Wow talk about upgrade

This is what the Raiders needed.

Can Rams fans tell me why they wanted to trade him?

He still averaged 27 yrds a catch

Smart move, after watching them get beat by NY it was obvious they are in desperate need of a deep threat.

This signing is huge.

Jackson still is fast and can catch. He recently torched seattles secondary and they have a good safety tandem.

Raiders lost but also won big imho

He just upgraded that offense more than when Ruggs was there.

They traded him because he waned out. He wasn't a big enough part of their gameplan. Averaging 27 yards a catch shows you're not involved other than a few big targets a game, which is what he's always been more or less, but he wants more. Selfish, doesn't realize his prime has passed.

And saying he's an upgrade from Ruggs as a football player right now is dumb.

This was a few weeks ago against the buccaneers

Second vid is accumulation of the past 2 seasons.

This is far from passed his prime.

If he wants more touches Carr is gonna make him happy. If you’re on fantasy football id put him on your team srs. This man can still burn secondaries.

He’s due for one 80 yard bomb and then a pulled hammy that sidelines him for the rest of the year

The Raiders actually started playing better after Gruden left so no big loss. Ruggs role was to scare secondaries deep..and now the Raiders have signed a man who has been doing this for years.

If anything they are better now than when they played week 1.

Not really. I was also referring to Damon Arnette. They’ve released both of their 2020 first round picks now. Jackson is 35 with past injury issues. It’s absurd to say he is a better option than a developing Ruggs would be, even short term but definitely long term.

His injury history is not pretty either.
