Need advice from genuine alcoholics (srs)

So my drinking has been getting out of control for the past year and i've been consuming on average 30-35 units a week. These are UK Units, dont know if that means anything different in other countries

However the past 7 days i've been drinking everyday about 15 units. If i was to stop cold turkey would i be in any danger with withdrawel side effects or just feel chitty?

So that's like a bottle of wine a night normally, now up to 2 bottles per night?

You should be fine at that amount. Might get the night sweats a little bit. That's just average single mother amount.

Nah I don't think you're in any danger from beer lol.

The hard core drunks I know are doing a liter of 80 proof vodka or whiskey per day.

Alternatively, drop by your GP and ask him to prescribe you 4-7 days worth of benzos, cosiest way to do it.

Dont get more than that though. That stuff is addictive as fk if your a downer type of guy

lol @ seeking ""help"" from fukin alcoholics. You need to get away from morons who normalise that degeneracy and contact an actual doctor. Its like seeking help from fatties on how to lose weight

Why are you telling us your monthly unit consumption? Odd af. Why donโ€™t you say you have x pints a night or drink x cases a week? A touch of the โ€˜tism?

Pretty much a matter of time and control, it's not about the quantity but how much your body can take and how much control you can exercise in the time range. I am a heavy drinker myself since the last 10 years, I always enjoy it and have no plans to ever quit. But I make sure my regular alcohol consumption does not interfere with my other worldly matters and responbilities and that I have enough time as non-drunk to work, also food and sleep is well maintained to always stay healthy.
