Trying Hard To Find Fulfillment
Something that is really problematic for me is this constant feeling of emptiness or hollowness.
I have this massive void in my life, especially because of certain events over the last couple years which I don’t really care to get into at this time. But even before that I felt a void, a real lack of fulfillment, it’s just worse now.
I thought working might fill it or give me some purpose, because I was unemployed for a long while, but it didn't. Then I thought maybe I need to return to boxing, that might fill it. But it hasn’t, and I hate working and I hate going to boxing. Both are chores for me, I only do it to feel like I’m doing something with my day.
Nothing fills that void for me, the only thing that helped me in the past was alcohol. But that's only a temporary fix and I stopped drinking after only a couple of weeks of indulging in it because I realized it wouldn’t be long before I developed a drinking problem.
Does anybody have any advice? I’m trying to make improvements to my life but nothing seems to be working.

Depression bro. I run into the same issue every now and again. Reflecting on the time I've wasted feeling that way also tends to make it worse. I don't have it completely figured out but having discrete goals, staying busy, and getting regular exercise help at least a little bit for me. Stay away from the alcohol though brah, only makes it worse in the long run.

Idk, but I can relate. It's easy to feel like life is an endless and mundane cycle of tedium and meaninglessness. It's also easy to fall back on Alcohol to help alleviate that feeling, but obviously that's an awful approach that always leads to regret.
I've also tried getting back into some old hobbies (ie -guitar and martial arts) and the motivation/desire just wasn't there either. My biggest cope seems to be books (particularly audio so you have voice acting narrators) as a way of sort of getting immersed into different places/experiences/etc.

But before I get in the ring I feel neither of those emotions, I don’t feel afraid but I’m not excited either. I just feeling nothing before I step in the ring. In for answers
Sometimes I feel the calm warm or cold air and the sun or moon on a walk outside, and feel peaceful. Perhaps that is all. Though I wish I could share it with someone. Family and nature is my dream.

Find God
I’m so so srs. I’m not a diehard born and raised Christian, and I questioned it all and put it off until a couple years ago.
It has changed my life in every perceivable way, for the better srs.
Having a higher power that is good by nature fills a MASSIVE hole in our souls.
The most neglected part of our lives by ten miles is our spirit, there’s a reason the satanic powers in control do everything to get us to ignore it/not think its real.

People dont just grow up from those things they need work to control and they will always be present more or less. Look up schematherapy and the 11 life traps.
Its a unbeatable tactic to happiness srs. The happiest people are the ones who have less trauma because they have less ”life traps” so less needs to fulfill.
If you google it theres a good test that gives you a general direction but deep down you already knew all that chit. Never just had it explained to you.

You can try to find this book translated and find a audio book or something. It explains everything bout schema therapy, its quite a new thing in the psychology. Got that chit from a relative psychologist for christmas.

Write on paper a five year plan. It seems there's no light at the end of the tunnel for you. Find out your 'Why' in life. What is it that you want. How do you want to live your life. Write it down. Take action.
Sacrifice. Discipline. Patience. Gratitude. Optimism.
