God is Real

Just talked to God for the first time in ages, I feel like I've just been wondering around in the dark for so long.

Feeling whole, like pure love washing over me and cleansing my soul.

Going to preach the word of God and spread His message of love.

Can't believe I had strayed for so long, so much pain and suffering, but now am able to do anything.

I love all of you, you guys have been my friends when I had none. Things are not so lonely any more.

We may not see eye to eye on everything, but thank you for talking smack and trading stories, bringing laughter and inspiration to my weird and messed up life.

God bless all of you

Since you brought up Jesus, then Christian theology (what the Bible says) teaches that while all will face God in the end, some will go to everlasting life, while others to everlasting pain and judgment.

Someone could just as easily say “atheism helps weak-minded people feel superior to others, and helps them believe they can give their life whatever meaning they want. It allows people to have their cake and eat it to because on the one hand they give their lives meaning, but at the same time they can say it’s meaningless in order to avoid the stress and anxiety of not living up to their full potential. It’s definitely good if you’re low IQ and need a way to stay positive”.

I am an agnostic, and I believe that life probably does have meaning, but whoever put us here hasn't given any clear reason to why we are here. Before anyone brings up the Bible, I said "clear reason". The Bible is remarkable, but it's anything but clear, and it's certainly not something I can put full trust in.

Every religious view I have ever encountered has been far-fetched and difficult to believe with no modern-day miraculous signs and wonders to truly validate any of their teachings.

If you believe it, I do not mock you or consider you "low IQ", it's just not convincing to me. It could be true, but I don't see enough evidence to validate it's miraculous claims. If I were to accept it's teaching, it would be accepting with serious skepticism to a point that would not be considered true belief.

I once thought like you, it takes a very strong mind to approach Him and witness His glory.

I once thought that He was like a trick to control people, or a comforting illusion for those who could not handle life without faith.

I once thought that I was too clever for God, that my understanding of the world and material things made Him too unlikely to believe in, and I lost my faith.

I understand your point of view, and I understand where your skepticism comes from.

If you know love, you know God. He is love. Maybe you feel love from someone but you are not sure about God, I'm sure you are not alone.

He is waiting for you, all you need to do is pray in order to talk to Him. His love will flow into your heart and overwhelm you.

Maybe you are not ready, maybe you are. Either way, we will all go to Him when we pass into eternity.

I encourage you to close your eyes and pray sincerely, from deep in your heart, and you will see exactly what I mean.

I will pray to Him now and ask him to watch over you and bring blessings into your life.

No holding yourself accountable to a set of standards and an authority that is other than yourself is not for the weak minded.

Going about your life thinking you are the arbiter of right and wrong and as long as you personally feel okay about your behavior than it is all good is the weak minded way of making it through life.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

At times you need to revisit and vet your own ideas. Talking to other side isn't for thier benefit as much as it is for for your own.

People should go into these types of exchanges trying to figure out where they might have gotten something wrong versus trying to prove to others that they got it all right.

Big ask for the average ego tbh though.
