After years of dizzy episodes and balance issues, I finally got confirmation that I have ménière's disease following various examinations and tests. It's a rare disorder of the inner ear that causes episodes of vertigo, the sensation of spinning. It has also lead to hearing loss in my right ear. An attack can happen at any moment and can last 2-3 hours which sucks, especially if I'm out in public. Anyone suffer from the same?

Have a buddy with it. He was able to get it under control with some meds and some lifestyle changes.





Are you still safe from Beast Chicken?

What's it feel like? Would you compare it to spinning around as fast as you can for a minute and stopping? I couldn't imagine having that feeling for 2-3 hours would be wild.

I actually found out about the disease through Dana White videos and his symptoms were identical to mine. I'll check out more of his videos regarding the procedures he's had done. I think he had an operation to cut the nerve which ultimately failed!I'll have to take a look at my diet and reduce alcohol intake. Beast Chicken hasn't fuked with me...yetYeah that's what it feels like. It's crazy. I once had an episode in a restaurant and had to stagger out and lay in a park for 2 hours lmao. People must have thought I was drunk.

Try Ginger Tea. Luckily my problems were caused by Anemia/folate deficiency.

i was just diagnosed with hydrops which the ENT says is kinda the precursor to meniere's, i have all the same symptoms but without the dizziness

don't know much because he was entirely worthless and didn't even show me the vemp/ecog results before sending me on the way with a "try a low sodium diet, i'll see you in a year"

there's a pretty decent forum at menieres.org and a subreddit but there's a bunch of kooks there so take it with a grain of salt imo. obviously you know that no one knows what causes it or how to cure it, but some of them preach this "john of ohio" regimen which is basically a huge list of supplements, some are able to get intratympanic steroid injections, some are adamant that it's a virally caused disease and high dosage acyclovir, some just get a labyrinthectomy and move on with their lives if they can't hear out that ear

i think since you're in the UK serc/betahistine is available but i read that there are side effects, i dunno, i'm not there yet
