CNN To Reportedly Fire "Good Number" Of On-Air Talent, Staff In Major Shakeup

I wonder if they have balls to fire Lemon or Cuomo. Can you imagine hundreds of YouTubers getting more views then a huge production like CNN. What a joke. Is “woke media” coming to an end?

“After CNN ratings crashed through the floor once again in October - with not one single show averaging at least 1 million viewers, a major shakeup is in the works at the network.

According to Deadline, Discovery chief David Zaslav - who is widely expected to assume stewardship of CNN after its merger with WarnerMedia is complete - has kept his public comments on the failing news network close the the vest. When asked by Deadline what he thinks will happen with honcho Jeff Zucker, Zaslav said "Jeff’s a good friend and I like him a lot."

But according to Jon Nicosia - former Mediaite and IJR managing editor (and former breaking news editor at the DC Examiner) - CNN is going to revert to a 100% news channel, and a "good number" of CNN's "talent/staff" will be fired as part of a major shakeup.

Would love it if they'd go back to what they used to be - just straight news. Knock it off with the wokeness and leftist commentary on everything.

CNN International is an awesome network if you ever get a chance to watch it, but as of now CNN is unwatchable trash.

Good luck with that. Young journalists today don't want to be objective reporters, they want to be woke activists. Unless management cracks down hard, the new talent is going to take over and return the network to the garbage they have now. Look at PBS. It used to be a pretty reliable source until they brought Yamiche Alcindor on. If you watched their coverage of 2016 Election Night, you could see the disappointment on everyone's face when the race was finally called for Trump, but everyone on their panel was professional enough to collect themselves and report the postmortem fairly and objectively. Fast forward a couple years, Alcindor is in the White House press pool, and her "reporting" is in the same vein as Ascosta. It's disgusting, it's unprofessional, and all by herself, she destroyed whatever integrity PBS had. And the sad thing is they let her do it, and she only gets worse.
