When/If SHTF do you think police will...
enforce all the government overreach? Or do you think there will be a mass exodus of the police force around the country?
How do you think it will all play out?

I used to 100% Back the Blue.... but I've come to realize that when the SHTF, cops ain't gonna do sh/t... I'm not saying they agree with the tyranny or that they don't want to stand up, but the fact of the matter is that they are just human beings with families and a mortgage, they won't be standing up.
When things get really bad we can expect the majority of cops to abandon their post and defend their families.
The democrats are hoping that cops with resign in mass. This way, they can hire new police officers that are in line with their ideology and be the enforcers of their policies. The police departments across the country will become federalized and be the enforcement arm of the democratic party.

Police love power.
They wouldn't do anything that would cause them to lose their authority.
Look at how they confiscated firearms after Katrina.

Yes the majority will
This is a group of normal cops with rubber bullets. live ammo would be the same
When they would stop enforcing orders would be when they are in real danger. aka door to door and battles with armed resistance and seeing buddies getting killed
Until that its a game for them

In terms of government oppression the police will absolutely take part in it as we have seen demonstrated throughout history repeatedly. So will the military.
Just at a base level the average cop is concerned with feeding his family before he is concerned with your rights.
Honestly I’m hoping red state governors secede before allowing the feds to go totally off the rails

I say half will quit and half will stay. Feds will make remaining cops part of a federal police force and hire more federal cops. They will give them even more power to do what their overlords tell them to do.

In a real SHTF alot of police will prioritize protecting their families and abandon their posts. THough there will be some without families or those that give their job and obeying orders priority.
In SHTF it is going to be pockets of EROL and WROL, excessive rule of law and without rule of law. Law enforcement will only be able to do so much in a real emergencie. In cities certain neighborhoods will get priority, while they let chaos ensue and everything burn in the rest of the city.

Same as 100 years ago with alcohol enforcement. Most will half ass it, quit, or capitalize on it.
Govt will then need to create an agency of bitches to enforce the policies, that will eventually be thrown out of the courts anyways.

They're gradually pushing the line the so police with morals quit and are replaced with willing enforcers of the new regime.
If things truly HTF the police will be with their families I imagine. Depending on how bad it truly is. Power grid going down long term being the worst case scenario, yeah, police are gone.
If the power grid stays up I forsee some semblance of order being maintained, might call in the military to supplement the police tho.

Being in the police is, fundamentally, not much different from being in the military.
You're signing up to carry out the missions you're given because you believe overall, you're serving the greater good by doing so. Once you've made that choice, you don't have a lot of freedom to decide whether or not you like the decisions being handed down.
I'm sure there are lots of vets who enlisted right before Iraq who think that exercise was a terrible idea but still fulfilled the duty they signed up for. I'm sure the same goes with cops executing warrants they don't agree with, etc.
Your best bet is to live somewhere that has a sheriff who actually believes in the constitution.

Cops aren't legally obligated to protect you according to many Supreme Court hearings.
You can only rely on yourself and your network to protect you srs.
