Current project is like 10hrs away from home and I'm driving that 4x a month

Once I get to the area, it's about 20mins between site and the house I'm renting

Used to drive a ton for work and podcasts help make the trip seem much shorter.

how much are you paid? Like that’s a lot of gas and wear on your car? Is there nothing closer?

I’m 20 mins from my office, but it’s also in town and next to my gym (the closest gym to my house for 30 miles) so I have to go into town daily anyways

work at two different locations. 3 days it's 30 minutes, 2 days it's 45 minutes. Could be worse.

Entry level engineer,
On the way back it’s more like 90 minutes drive, I’ve only been doing this a few weeks but it’s very tiring I agree.

because most people rather save 20-30% on their rent and commute twice as far rather
