Currently on 63 weeks parental leave. Company paid for 20. Then I'll go back for a couple months and do it again.

I know a woman who only went on maternity leave like 2 weeks before her due date. Then she came back to work after like 2 months. Seems to me women just want to be lazy and watch Netflix and disguise it as parenting their newborn

Many women I know are just playing the system. They have 3-4 kids to keep maternity rolling and barely go back to work in between each one.

If you don't lock down a job in a company with good benefits before popping out 2-3 kids as a woman, you've really dun goofed.

1 million is a shack in our area now. Luckily we bought it at $420K. I was able to stay home 4 years with my daughter and even though I accumulated credit card debt, it was worth it. Iโ€™ve paid off $6K of the credit card debt so far.

I donโ€™t see young families moving into our neighborhood. They canโ€™t afford it unless theyโ€™re from China. Itโ€™s sad.

I could never take advantage of maternity leave since I had my own consulting firm

It's been years since I've had a baby and I didn't take a normal maternity leave. Had my last daughter on a Saturday night, checked myself out of the hospital the next morning and went to my mom's for Sunday dinner. I hit the gym that Monday and went to work on that day too.

They made me go home to take a week off srs...

Yeah you canโ€™t beat the weather and weekend places such as Half Moon Bay, Sausalito, Carmel, Napa, Tahoe, etc.

Plus the jobs. If they only would let us work remote; but even though weโ€™ve been remote for almost 2 years we have to confirm we are within commuting distance. So many people took off to work in Hawaii and Miami lol.

It varies with women and pregnancy with both my girls was very easy. Gained 8 lbs with my first (because 9 months of constant morning sickness, which I got used to) and 11 lbs with my second.

It's not the norm and I got lucky.

Makes you wonder, when you are on maternity leave how do your bosses even know you're pregnant or had the child? Just say you miscarried at the end of the 9 months, probably get additional stress leave and benefits lmao

Maybe thatโ€™s why the ladies hate me.

Although I did insist on part time work for years. It was worth it to be home. Moms should be home with their kids as much as possible. I cried every morning I had to leave my baby. It was horrid.
