Anyone else notice that having pride in America..

Is now primarily synonymous with rednecks or supposed white supremacy? This is purely anecdotal, but it seems that having a barely restrained disdain for this country has become a more favorable mainstream position.

I remember people having more pride in America when I was growing up, despite it’s shortcomings. Maybe I’m wrong.

Imagine you were an enemy of America. What better wayt to destabilize it than to make people feel ashamed of it through the constant media bashing.

This is what is going on. Its paid for by our enemies foreign and domestic. The actual person on the street is very proud to be American with good reason. The media says otherwise because they are told to say that.

Not a fan of performative patriotism. People who choose flags and fireworks over equality and infrastructure. If you truly love America then you should want the best quality of life for all Americans.

First time I noticed this is when I wore an American flag hat. My best friends sister (hardcore lib zoomer) looked at it and shook her head "that's terrible". I asked her what's terrible about it and she couldn't even really tell me. It's like they've been indoctrinated that certain symbols are bad, but don't know why.

Patriotism doesn't necessarily mean "my country right or wrong".

There is an undeniable pro-globalism agenda. One theory is that nationalism is bad for the large corporations which would rather not deal with things like tariffs.

If they can either destroy the system of nations or make all nations subservient to a global world government then they only have to corrupt and bribe one group of "leaders" instead of multiple groups.

Wrong.

Patriotism can be used to forward agendas that are not in the best interests of the citizenry. It can also be a source of pride and social cohesion.

I think that many US citizens are very unhappy with how the federal government has been acting and with how corrupt and broken it has become. So they presume that if someone calls themselves a patriot or says that they love the USA then that person ALSO approves of the current state of the union.

You can love your country and still think that it is in need of major repair.

Nationalists would rather fix up our old truck.
